Charlotte’s Web

A recent visit to Chapter’s resulted in a trip through the children’s books and I could not resist coming away with a collector’s edition of Charlotte’s Web. This book is a large size, beautifully bound edition, with original illustrations by Garth Williams. This has to be one of my favourite books of all time. Right up there with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, The Wizard of Oz, and the “Little House” books (which were, incidentally, also illustrated by Garth Williams). I have visions of reading Charlotte’s Web aloud to my grandchildren and seeing them enjoy the story about Wilbur and Fern and of course, Charlotte. Will the kids sit still long enough to listen?

  1. If there are pictures of animals, Reece will sit. Prepare for interruptions.

  2. Oh, I love that story! What a wonderful find! Good for you, my friend. I know you’re all going to love visiting with Charlotte. 🙂
