On this first day of 2009, we packed away all the Christmas decorations, ate leftovers from last night’s party, took a nap, got 10 minutes of shopping in at Chapters before it closed, and had dessert at Moxie’s (yes, the white chocolate brownie).
When we got home, someone asked, “What day is it?” You kind of lose track of things during the holiday season.
It didn’t quite feel like Saturday, and since we weren’t in church this morning it didn’t feel like Sunday either – despite the afternoon nap. We concluded it was kind of a combination of Saturday/Sunday. Sunderday? Satursun? Whatever.
Back to January 1, 2009.
And no New Year’s resolutions.
I agree with what my cousin Cristal said so perfectly in her blog – I’m a believer in making good decisions every day of the year . . . and I make sure my anchor is solidly in the One who will never let me down, no matter what this next year holds.
Thanks Cris! (And I hope you don’t mind that I “borrowed” a bit from you.)
Wow, I feel so honored. Only my 3rd post I am already being quoted.hehe. Happy New Year cuz. I am thinking these are my last few days of holidays, and I am going to soak them up for all they are worth!
