Think Creative

To create, you have to:

know stuff but be able to think like you don’t,

be able to make everyday things spectacular,

be able to make the spectacular ordinary,

expect the unexpected,

look at the same things everyone else does but see something different,

make connections between totally different things without people thinking you are nuts,

be aware of experts but know how to ignore them,

work hard but spend time doing nothing, or looking like you’re doing nothing,

learn how to fail in order to succeed,

create many ideas, most of which are crappy,

be certain about uncertainty,

fantasize while keeping your sense of reality,

be confident while afflicted by self doubt.

Yeah, that about says it all.
