We arrived home from our four-day road trip at 1:00 this morning.
Although the purpose of our trip was to say goodbye to my precious grandmother, there was so much more crammed into the 92 hours we were away. It’s going to take me days to process it all. Weeks, even. Snippets of conversations with sisters and brothers, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and strangers roll through my mind. Sorting them will be like cleaning out a closet; keep the good stuff and toss out the junk.
Tomorrow, I’ll go back to the routine of life. And this past week will become a memory. A good one.
Thank you Wayne, Mom, Kelly, Jacquie, Todd, Kael, Kimmie, Faith, Jordan, Christopher, Mackenzie, Rhett, Costa, Dianne, Rochelle, Chris R, Holly, Lynsey, Cheryl, Dave, Uncle Steve, Al, Dorothy, Amanda, Erin, Chris V, Amy, Eva, Auntie Annabelle, Uncle Ernie, Mom N, Dad N, Marilyn, Larry, Uncle Johnny, Aunt Helen, Pastor Edwin, Terri, Ben, Stuart B, Matt, and Alyssa for good words, many hugs and lots of laughter.
Coming home.
The best of all.
Welcome back home, Wendy and Wayne. I’m glad to hear you’re safe and sound.
