Recuperation from the Recliner

Although I am on the mend (thanks for all the get well comments), I am sticking pretty close to home – the recliner, to be more specific. We’ve had several laz-y-boys over the years and I always thought they were highly overrated, leaving their usage to my darling husband.

I am now a believer.

How wonderful to settle into the chair’s cozy depths with my pillow and fuzzy blanket. I have the TV remote, the phone, my Blackberry, my laptop, and an ice cold diet Coke on the table beside me. A girl could get used to this. Were it not for other necessary activities, I’d never have to leave.

But here’s the thing: I am bored silly.

I can’t drive. I can’t do housework (oh darn). I can’t even write, because this one-handed hunt and peck is way too laborious. And my voice recognition software isn’t recognizing anything at the moment. (If my kids are reading this, I am not cleaning the toilets either.)

So entertaining comments are welcome.

I’ll read then after my next nap.
