Book Review: Sarah’s Garden

Sarah’s Garden, by Kelly Long, was a pleasant read. Honestly, I am not usually drawn to the numerous Amish fiction books out there – I think the Christian bookstore shelves are a bit saturated with them – but I will say that I enjoyed this one. I was pulled into the story of Sarah and Grant’s seemingly impossible love.

This was the first time I’d read anything by Kelly Long. She tells a good story and has made sure the reader becomes emotionally involved – not an easy thing to do. I did find the storyline somewhat predictable, however, but I think a degree of predictability is expected in a book of this genre.

Overall, I enjoyed a relaxing several hours with Sarah and Grant. Great summer reading.

I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishers as a part of their Book Sneeze program. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
