Birthdays

Remember when you were a little kid and you could hardly wait for your birthday? A birthday was an excuse for all the relatives to come over (I mean ALL) and just be together. I loved those times – grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins all in the same house. It was loud, it was cramped, and it was so much fun. I don’t remember one single gift. I just remember family.

So today, on this 25th anniversary of my 29th birthday, I am remembering all those long ago times and the family who were always there celebrating with us – many of whom have gone Home to Heaven – Dad, Gramps, Grandma & Grandpa, Wesley, Uncle Jake & Aunt Tina, Uncle Bill & Aunt Louetta, Auntie Marilyn.

Birthdays are still all about family in our house and I am so thankful for Wayne and our children and grandchildren, Mom, Cheryl and Kelly, and for the many, MANY family members I am still in contact with. I am completely blessed!
