Okay, I”ll admit it. Despite my valiant efforts, I’m not going to finish NaNo this year. The story is good, the writing acceptable, and the time was there – unfortunately, the motivation died after 17,437 words. I could beat myself up over it, drag myself around for the next few weeks and give the effort a worthy mourning period, but I refuse to do it. The story is not dead. What’s written is not going away. And the motivation WILL return. It always does. So, NaNo 2008, I bid you farewell. No hard feelings, eh?
Admit it and move on . . .

There’s no shame in not finishing a story, Wendy. It’s a shame when someone has a story to tell and they don’t even attempt to tell it. You gave NaNo a go. That’s a success right there! And I have faith the story you began this month will eventually find its way to the page. I hope it does; I’m looking forward to reading it! 🙂
