A recent conversation between Caleb (4) and Reece (2) while riding in the van with Mommy:
Reece: We fye-ing!!
Caleb: Reece, what did you say?
Reece: We fye-ing, we fye-ing!
Caleb: Buddy, do you think we’re flying?
Reece: Yup.
Caleb: Mommy, Reece thinks we’re flying.
Mommy: I guess it seems like flying to him when we are driving down this big hill.
Caleb: But we’re not flying.
Mommy: I know, but Reece thinks we are.
Reece: Yup.
Caleb: (to his little brother) Buddy, do you think we’re in an airplane or a helicopter?
Reece: Yup.
Caleb: We’re in the van.
Reece: Nope.
Caleb: (using his most patient tone of voice) Buddy, we’re in the van going down a big hill. We are NOT flying.
Reece: Yup! Fye-ing.
Caleb: This is not an airplane or a helicopter.
Reece: Yup.
Caleb: (exasperated now) Mommy – !
These are the moments you remember.
