36 hours to NaNo and my game plan is . . . well . . . a little less than solid. I may take a line from my good friend, Sarita, and say that this year’s NaNo attempt will be flying by the seat of my pants. And it won’t be the first time. I long to be the kind of writer who has the plot down pat, plans every chapter carefully, and then writes the great Canadian novel in a very methodical and organized fashion. But what fun is that?? I absolutely LOVE to sit at my computer and simply bash out pages and pages of story. Most of it is quite bad. But you know, some of it is pretty darn good writing. And that’s the rewarding part. So, I’ll discipline myself to get those 1,666 words written every day during the month of November, and I have a tiny glimmer of hope that NaNo 2008 will be the catalyst. I’ll elaborate on that another time.
Happy November, my writing Buddies!
We’re going to have fun this month, Wendy. 🙂
